I am Linshu Zhang, currently working at Chongqing Polytechnic University of Electronic Technology. I hold a Master’s degree in Automotive Engineering from Coventry University, UK. My academic background is rooted in automotive engineering and intelligent manufacturing, while my interests extend to the interdisciplinary integration of engineering, artificial intelligence and artistic creation.
My teaching and research focus on intelligent sensing, embedded systems and mathematical modelling. I am particularly interested in the practical applications of algorithms and computational methods, as well as the role of artificial intelligence in intelligent system development.
I have maintained a passion for literary creation since my undergraduate years, with experience in online fiction publishing and print literary magazines. My creative interests have gradually expanded into songwriting, music composition, voice performance, video production and AI-generated animation.
I believe technological innovation and artistic imagination can inspire one another. My current interests include generative AI, computational creativity, AI-assisted storytelling and human–AI collaboration. Through the integration of engineering, algorithms and artistic expression, I hope to explore new possibilities for creative practice.
KNOWLEDGE IN PRACTICE · STORIES IN MOTION
As a core team member of the 2023 competition entry, I was primarily responsible for developing lesson plans and recording and producing the competition videos. In addition, I designed and developed an intelligent value-added evaluation system tailored to small-sample classroom data. The system uses students' historical academic records and regression analysis based on residual modelling to predict their performance. The difference between predicted and actual assessment results serves as a quantitative measure of students' learning gains. This system became a key innovation highlight of our competition entry.
The value-added evaluation model was further developed into an educational practice case and selected as a Typical Case of Three Education Reform in Chongqing. It was also included in the 2025 "Bright Light" Case Collection on Education Evaluation Reform, published by the Chongqing Institute of Education Evaluation.
Guided student teams to participate in the CUMCM (China Undergraduate Mathematical Contest in Modeling) for three consecutive years, winning one National First Prize in 2024 and two National Second Prizes in 2025, with two entries recommended for national-level awards in 2026.

About the Work
Inspired by the historic Battle of Diaoyu Fortress, this work combines historical storytelling with music and visual art, winning Second Prize in the Creative Challenges Contest.
My contributions included lyric writing, music composition and AI-assisted arrangement. Drawing inspiration from the historical events and the spirit of the defenders, I sought to convey the weight of history through musical expression and visual storytelling. I also guided the student team in generating visual and video assets, edited the footage, recorded the introductory narration, and designed the on-screen lyrics to bring the music video together.

About the Work
OPS is an original song created for an upcoming AI-generated animated drama that I have been developing with my student team as a personal creative project in our spare time. Inspired by the catchy, fast-paced background music popular in contemporary short-form animated dramas, the track features humorous and satirical lyrics, melodic rap, and energetic electronic dance-pop rhythms, creating a playful and lively listening experience. DJ-inspired electronic effects, dynamic rhythmic changes, and a catchy, repetitive chorus enhance its appeal and memorability, making it well suited to the narrative style and short-form format of the animated series.
The initial music video was produced using Miaoxiang AI. This early version retains some uncorrected lyric recognition errors from the AI generation process, reflecting our initial experimentation with an AI-assisted production workflow. I plan to revisit and refine the music video using LibTV in my spare time, with further improvements to the visuals and on-screen lyrics.
